Episode 24: Maintaining Perspective

On this episode, we welcome back John Earley to discuss a loaded news cycle within the world of Redemption. We've got new details about Nationals, Promos, GoC Phase 1 becoming legal and a wealth of new content to go over. In addition, there was a ton of new spoilers dropped this week from both Israel's Deliverance starter decks and Gospel of Christ Phase 2. After discussing all of this, we squeezed in a conversation on how to maintain perspective when the game becomes frustrating, which can be more common when a "broken" combo is in the field. Episode 22: Deckbuilding 101

Welcome to Deckbuilding 101. On this week's episode, Rob Smith joins us again as we talk about basic deckbuilding principles that can help newcomers be better equipped when it comes to constructing decks for competitive play. We start from the ground up and talk about how we approach crafting a deck and where we start the process. We provide context for all the key terms and use some of our own deck examples to show how you can approach the deckbuilding thought process to ensure your deck is prepared to face the competition in a competitive space. I was inspired to put this together due to the number of newer players that we have within our community and wanted to provide a basic foundation for them to have a better idea of how to approach this vital part of the game. 

Episode 21: Revisiting Playgroup Development

On this week's episode, we revisit our conversation regarding playgroup development with Chris Fachman. After the recording of our first conversation on the topic, Chris received some inquiries and wanted to follow up and offer a few more ideas and suggestions that he gathered from talking with other successful playgroup leaders. The ideas and tips Chris got from his conversations with other leaders are solid ways to increase potential in the early stages of starting a playgroup but also give some ideas on developing your playgroup once you have some interested players. 

Episode 20: Decking Out Turn One... Seems Good

On this week's episode, we sat down with Brad Gaillard and Rob Smith to discuss the state of the game as it relates to two new combos that have come to light in the past couple weeks. We talk about these combos and how they work and discuss their implications on the meta this coming season if they are left intact by leadership. In this episode, we sit down with game Elders Chris Fachman and Gabe Isbell to discuss the HUGE news drop that came on Valentines Day as new starter decks were not only confirmed to be happening but to be in active playtesting. We pick their brain about the process and development of "K and L" starter decks, the future of Teal and Evil Gold, along with the new design elements that are being implemented into the new starters. Episode 17: GoC is Anything Except Undesirable

On this week's episode, Brad returns to talk about his experience in the Lackey Grand Prix where he came in second. We also talk about GoC cards now that we have them in hand and discuss some first impressions after looking over the real thing. We hand picked a few early favorites to discuss before going down the wormhole of the new lost soul, Undesirables. This is a card that is sure to make an impact in competitive play and we discuss some first thoughts of how we may play with it and around it if our opponent has it in play. More or less, this episode is just a couple buddies hanging out and talking Redemption and GoC. 

Episode 16: Gotta Collect ’Em All

On this week's episode we sit down with John Earley and Chad Frantz to discuss the collectible side of Redemption. We discuss the various types of collectibles from error cards, variants and misprints to one of a kind art pieces and the types of collectors those items appeal to. Listen as Chad tells us about his journey coming back to the game in 2019 and building an extensive collection of error cards capped by the ever elusive Angel at Shur error card of which only 3 are known to exist. John also gives us some straightforward advice on collecting the ever growing catalog of high end National Promos.
